      "content": "Should only need the actual pads there; no circuit under pad because it's wedge bonding though.\n\nI'd recommend using the power inputs though if your PDN isn't set up in a way that'd make this a poor choice.\n\nPoly resistor ESD-protected analog pads are also very small to pull off at least with an overvoltage protection diode to limit the voltage that can apply to the series resistor.\n\nIIRC it's two resistors in series with the center point connected to the diode who's breakdown voltage clamps the overvoltage, forward voltage clamps undervoltage, and which itself is protected from ESD using the resistor from it to the pad. The other resistor acts to limit the current that the protection circuit on the analog side would have to deal with in an overvoltage event to limit the voltage there below the breakdown of the ESD \"zener*.\n\nIt's not low-impedance but plenty good enough for using with a multimeter or such.",
